Business Cards for Mom

I need these.

Kidding.

I mean, seriously, I get that they might possibly make life easier but I would feel like a complete tool standing on the playground passing out one of these. So, so not cool.

Is there really a market for these cards? Does anyone have them? Been handed one? Are they "in" on the coasts? Will I be eating crow in a few years when the trend hits the Midwest and all of my mommy friends are slipping these to one another and I'm forced to choose between "daisy" or "sports" to stay in the loop?

Do tell.

Yikes! Well, this is the first time I've ever seen one of those. Scary.

Maybe it's because they are too lazy to write out their contact information?? Weird...

I sort of like the idea, actually, though those specific ones are pretty ugly. And expensive! Plus you'd need a set for each kid the way they have them set up. I'd make the cards with your OWN name most prominent and the kids' names down below somewhere.

I like the idea - but I agree with Pru that the Mom's name should be the focal point.

Our current business cards grew out of the old calling card. A young man would call on a girl and if she was not at home he would leave his card. In a later time people would leave a basket or something by their door so you could leave your card if the family was out when you stopped by.

I think it would be a lot easier than carrying a note book around with you so you can write it down and had it out.

I've seen these advertised a lot of places and I have contemplated it just because I like "stuff" and this would just add to my disorganization ;) But I really don't know what they're for except maybe to make us SAHM's feel like we have a job worthy of biz cards? :) ftr I would feel like a complete tool, too, I think. ;)

I like the idea, if only they weren't so expensive. I have to admit that when sending out invites to the kids birthday parties, especially to the school friends, I hate having to write "Michael B's Mom" on each invite. Oh well, to save money, or to save my hand from carple tunnel?
